JITG In years in gone by

Hastings - in the castle. Attended here by Dave and Audrey.

The parade used to go through Wellington Square and up castle hill.

In the castle the parade participants were plied with beer & ploughman's after which dancing commenced...

Lilbet Large, a delightful rucksack based giant, granting me a dance.

Lilbet Large (a reference to her decolletage, apparently) - The first of the Dorchester Giants. Granfer came next, followed by Caroline Moore (Carry More... puns were encouraged)

Granfer Buttox, one of the Dorchester Giants.

His tummy and rear were an inflatable sack.

His smock was hand made by Liz Hodder and the Dorset buttons were just that again made by Liz.

I have danced with his grand daughter and her mother.

At the top of Westhill, Hastings.

Porter is Ben (Guardian and Porter-in-chief),

Anne & Dave (Matriarch & Patriarch) attending.

My tankard is, sadly, empty.

Dave and I outside the White Rock Theatre in Hastings.

During a dance in this theatre I dropped a bag which had been balanced on my frame (along with the arm chair, fireplace and Irish Wolfhound. Its amazing how much you can fit under a giant)
